No fewer than 45 ships laden with petroleum products, food items and other goods are expected to arrive at the Lagos ports from August 26 to September 12, according to a daily publication of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA).
The document stated that the contents of the expected ships were base oil, used vehicles, general cargo, frozen fish and truck heads. Others, it said, were bulk wheat, bulk salt, steel products, containers, general cargo, bulk gypsum, aviation fuel and crude palm Olein.
The NPA explained that 17 other ships had arrived the ports waiting to berth with petrol, bulk gas, general cargo, frozen fish, bulk fertiliser and rice.
22 other ships are at present in the Lagos ports discharging petrol, containers, bulk sugar and steel products.
Others are bulk soya bean, bulk wheat, bulk gypsum, bulk rice, truck heads, bulk sugar and base oil.
