Seyi Emmanuel Adebayor's

Togolese skipper, Seyi Emmanuel Adebayor’s troubled career may have hit a devastating note following reports that the embattled striker has been excluded from Tottenham Hotspur main team squad for the season.

The out of form and favour star, who refused to be offloaded by Tottenham during the summer transfer window was dropped from the Spurs’ Premier and Europa League squads as a fall-out of the transfer saga and would remain in limbo at the club.

Spurs were desperate to get his £100,000 weekly wage off the books before Tuesday’s transfer deadline but failed as the player reportedly rejected various offers presented to him based on spiritual guideline from his pastor.

The North London club, it would be recalled,  tried to offload the striker to Aston Villa and West Ham United on deadline day but they were put off by his reported 100,000 pounds ($153,090) per week wages. It was even reported that the White Hart Lane tried to pay him off so that he could escape the misery of banishment from active football, an offer he turned down at the eleventh hour.

The former Arsenal forward is now expected to be training with Spurs’ development squad while earning his mega-weekly pay package at the club.

Adebayor, who has been embroiled in a bitter family dispute which forced Tottenham to grant him compassionate leave before the end of last season has already lost his iconic No. 10 shirt to the club’s young star-striker, Harry Kane.
