Sunday Mbah

Super Eagles’ 2013 African Cup of Nations finals goal hero, Sunday Mba has declared that he is finally quitting Cercle Athlétique Bastiais (CA Bastia) following its relegation to the Championnat National, the third tier of the French football league system at the end of last season.

The combative midfielder, whose club woes had cost him his position in the national team disclosed that he will be seeking to revive his career elsewhere. According, to him, a number of clubs around Europe are already seeking for his signature as he awaits expiration of his current deal with Bastia based club. “A new dawn will soon come because after the expiration of my contract with Bastia, I am moving unto greater things. I have had offers from Germany, Portugal, France and Russia and I am going to make sure I carefully choose the club that will boost my career in all ramifications,” he said.

The former Warri Wolves star described his spell in the troubled French club as learning experience he hope to overcome as soon as the new season kicks off. “I may have gone through some patches in the game, but I am hopeful that all will be well beginning from the new European season in August. Everything will work well for me and I am ready to take up the challenge that is presenting itself now,” Mba said.
