OlisehNigeria’s Super Eagles technical crew led by Sunday Oliseh submitted the country’s 23-squad list for the 2016 African Nations Championship (CHAN) in Rwanda.

The Super Eagles Team B squad is made up of three goal keepers, eight defenders, six midfielders and six strikers. CHAN Eagles squad players are as follows:

 Goalkeepers: Ikechukwu Ezenwa (Sunshine Stars); Olufemi Thomas (Enyimba FC); Okiemute Odah (Warri Wolves)

Defenders: Austin Oboroakpo (Abia Warriors); Kalu Orji Okogbue (Enugu Rangers); Jamiu Alimi (Shooting Stars); Matthew Etim (Enugu Rangers); Chima Akas (Sharks FC); Stephen Eze (Sunshine Stars); Christopher Madaki Maichibi (Giwa FC); Samson Gbadebo (Lobi Stars)

Midfielders: Ifeanyi Matthew (El-Kanemi Warriors); Paul Onobi (Sunshine Stars); Usman Mohammed (FC Taraba); Yaro Bature (Nasarawa United); Bartholomew Ibenegbu (Warri Wolves); Ibrahim Attah Salau (Shooting Stars).

Forwards: Osas Okoro (Enugu Rangers); Ezekiel Bassey (Enyimba FC); Tunde Adeniji (Sunshine Stars); Bright Onyedikachi (FC IfeanyiUbah); Chisom Chikatara (Abia Warriors); Prince Aggreh (Sunshine Stars).

The team, alongside technical and backroom staff, flew to Pretoria, South Africa on Saturday to kick-start a 10-day training program arranged by the NFF alongside two friendly games against Angola and Cote d’Ivoire on January 6 and 11 respectively.

Oliseh arrived South Africa ahead of the delegation from his foreign base where he underwent treatment.

Nigeria’s Super Eagles B led by Stephen Keshi finished third at the 3rd African Nations Championship held in South Africa in 2014. However, Oliseh’s star-studded squad is expected to compete for the title in Rwanda and possibly win the trophy on February 7.

Nigeria is in Group C of the 2016 CHAN alongside Tunisia, Niger Republic and Guinea, with matches to be played at the Stade Regional Nyamirambo, Kigali.
