There seem to be a rise in the cases of Covid-19 as confirmed cases has increased to 190,983 as 650 new cases and 53 deaths were recorded in Nigeria on Saturday, 29th of August 2021.
Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) in its daily update on Coronavirus, said 178,047 cases have been discharged and 2,361 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory of the country.
According to NCDC, the new cases are reported from 17 states, with Lagos having the highest with 261 new cases.
In further report from NCDC, Ondo had 95, Rivers -80, Akwa Ibom-59, Oyo-24, Ekiti-22, Delta-20, Edo-18, Enugu-15, Bayelsa-14, Ogun-11, Kaduna-8, Plateau-7, Kano-6, FCT-5, Gombe-3, Abia-2.
Meanwhile, a multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC), activated at Level 3, continues to coordinate the national response activities.
