Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) President, AmajuPinnick, has assured that the agency will support the Super Falcons to make them one of the world’s best women teams.
He made pledge in Abuja when he visited the headquarters of the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL).
“We have gotten a new coach for the senior women national team and there are new foreign-based Nigerian players who have declared their interest to play for the country. These are young and enterprising players that will help us prove that winning women AFCON is our birthright,”Pinnick said.
He also disclosed that the NFF is planning two friendly matches for the team to get them ready for their engagements.
The NFF recently contracted Coach Randy Waldrum to coach the Falcons following Thomas Dennerby’s unceremonious exit from the team.
The new coach has a former Super Falcons goalkeeper and captain, Ann Chiejine, and Wemimo Matthew as his assistants.
