The online automobile industry in Nigeria has moved a step up the ladder, it now provides convenience with the debut of an online automobile mechanic’s directory known as Autobox, a new e-commerce platform to supply genuine car parts to millions of car owners. Its website offers new and exciting features — the first of its kind in Nigeria & Africa at large.
Autobox has also partnered with Carmudi, Nigeria’s number 1 online site to reach car buyers and sellers.
Vivian Chindima, spokesperson of Carmudi Nigeria, said apart from using only genuine spare parts for repairs, the auto mechanics prospecting users will get in autobox which provides pre-vehicle purchase inspection, car diagnostics, repair and servicing.
On the idea behind Autobox, the Managing Director, Charles Philip said ‘most car owners and buyers engage mechanics by referral even though some of them are not qualified to work on some car brands. “Autobox has a large pool of certified auto mechanics who specialize in specific car brands and who have notable workshops or service centers and are willing to come to your home or office at a time booked by the car owners,” Philip said.
